In that same month O'Neill, leader of an increasingly divided Unionist Party, called a General Election in Northern Ireland. In this interview he discusses the comment made by Neil Blayney, Irish Minister for Agriculture, that nationalists in Northern Ireland should not vote in this election. O'Neill was to resign as Prime Minister of Northern Ireland in April 1969.
