Audio interview with Winston Irvine (PUP director of communications), Jude Collins (political commentator) and Joe Marley (member of the Crumlin Ardoyne Residents Association) by Joel Taggart for BBC Radio Ulster The Nolan Show on 6 September 2013. Earlier that month the PSNI announced that there had been 689 injuries to its police officers since 1 July 2012. Violent protests over issues such as flags and commemorations had contributed to these injuries in the summer of 2013. In this interview Irvine, Collins and Marley discuss the economic fallout of the increased PSNI deployment in maintaining public order at these demonstrations. The Nolan Show is a daily current affairs programme on BBC Radio Ulster.
