Video interviews with David Jones, spokesperson for the Portadown Orange Lodge, and Brendan Mac Cionnaith, spokesperson for the Garvaghy Road Residents’ Association, for ITN on 3 July 2000. Earlier the Parades Commission had ruled that an Orange Order parade could not return from Drumcree to Portadown via the mainly nationalist Garvaghy Road. On 2 and 3 July rioting broke out between loyalist protesters and the security forces over the issue. Jones and Mac Cionnaith discuss the Parades Commission’s ruling.
