Radio interview with Margaret Thatcher by Peter Murphy for IRN (Independent Radio News). The Anglo-Irish Summit is being overshadowed by an IRA hunger strike. Thatcher reiterates that her government is not changing its position with regards to the IRA prisoners. She states that the summit focused on areas of cooperation between the UK and the Republic of Ireland. She dismisses the idea of a Confederation as a possible arrangement for dealing with Northern Ireland.
