Radio interview with Margaret Thatcher by John Frazer for IRN (Independent Radio News). A month after her famous out, out, out speech in which she dismissed Garret FitzGerald’s proposed options for the constitutional future of Northern Ireland. Thatcher is in Dublin for a European Council meeting. She is questioned by John Frazer about the fallout from her speech. She expresses her surprise at the extent to which her remarks were perceived negatively in Ireland and attributes this to the manner in which they were depicted on television.
