Professor Kimberly Hutchings has been awarded the British International Studies Association’s (BISA) Inaugural Distinguished Contribution Prize. The prize “recognises an individual’s contribution to the promotion of excellence in the discipline of International Studies over a substantial period of time.” It acknowledges the distinctive contribution to the “intellectual development” and “leadership” in the discipline of International Studies, as well as Professor Hutching’s considerable record of achievement which has added “prestige to International Studies in the UK and beyond.”
The prize was presented to Professor Hutchings at the BISA 40th Annual Conference in London. Professor Adam Fagan, Head of the School of Politics and International Relations said: “The School of Politics and International Relations is enormously proud of Professor Hutchings and would like to congratulate her for this richly deserved award. She is a wonderful colleague and scholar and we are honoured to benefit from her success.”
