Dr Sophie Harman’s upcoming film “Not Another AIDS Film” will feature Tanzanians living with HIV/AIDS acting out stories from their own lives, along with archive footage and interviews.
The film’s accompanying blog documents the process of producing a feature length drama on the everyday risk of HIV/AIDS treatment and care for people living with HIV/AIDS in the coastal region of Tanzania.
According to Dr Harman, the film “is about how the everyday demonstrates the wider international politics of disease, the film is (also) about people - human connections, trust and love and the commonplace hurdles ordinary people face”.
