A new YouGov poll for the Mile End Institute at Queen Mary University of London and Centre for London has looked at how the capital is perceived by the rest of the UK and by Londoners themselves. Most people in Great Britain are proud of London as a capital city: 56 per cent of Britons said that they were “very” or “fairly” proud of London, with just over a quarter saying the opposite.
