Professor of Politics, Professor Rainbow Murray appeared on Euronews Tonight to discuss the time it will take for society’s gender gap to be bridged. Professor Murray said: “Definitely within Europe things are moving in the right direction so there is some good news there. I would always apply some certain caveats this includes the fact that we are still a long way from gender parity. If you look at the UK for example we see that we had 33 per-cent women in Parliament, but that still means that there are two men for every woman and most of those women in parliaments are in opposition parties.
