Professor , Professor of International Politics, has written an opinion piece on the implications of winding back on women's reproductive rights in the wake of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Professor Harman argues that it is governments, not pandemics, which stop access to reproductive health. She writes that pandemics have the power to undermine and invalidate advancements in access to sexual and reproductive health, including contraception, sexual education and safe abortion. She comments how this is happening now in response to COVID-19 and that "these are driven by political choices made by governments."
