Professor Tim Bale from Queen Mary University of London joined LBC to discuss the fallout from the row at Downing Street over Dominic Cummings. Professor Bale commented that currently, the Prime Minister seems to regard Dominic Cummings as indispensable, however, pressure will begin to mount from polls and from MPs in Downing Street. Professor Bale said: "It seems to be the case that MPs' inboxes are filling up with people who are very very angry about this [...] and they have legitimate concerns about the effects on public health messaging. We could find, whether Boris Johnson likes it or not, that the pressure becomes unstoppable."
