Professor of Politics, Professor Tim Bale appeared on Sky News: All Out Politics to discuss post-Brexit Britain, and if we are now a divided nation. Professor Bale said: “We are very divided. It looks as though Brexit identity has overshadowed party identity now. I have to say though, if you look more deeply at public opinion, you see that people actually are rather less divided on the issues, than they are actually in two camps. The division and the polarisation that’s occurred is very much to do with people’s feelings about other people with supposedly different opinions. But actually when you investigate those opinions between people on the remain and leave side, they have a lot in common.”
