Reader in International Politics, Dr Lee Jones featured on the Sky News podcast All Out Politics, to discuss the Brexit trade negotiations, women in political life, and the government’s response to recent disasters. He said: “If the EU is concerned about unfair competition and so called dumping, the idea that the UK could race to the bottom and undercut EU producers, you can solve that issue by inserting non regression clauses. Meaning you don’t go backwards in your standards. In many areas the standards in the UK are already well in excess of EU standards and they’re insisting they don’t want a race to the bottom.”
