How Boris Johnson shattered his own invincibility

The Prime Minister survived a no-confidence vote on Monday night. A majority of Tory MPs have said they want Boris Johnson to remain party leader and Prime Minister. But critics suggest his authority has been undermined and he still faces challenges to keep his job. Politics Professor Tim Bale, from Queen Mary University of London, said: "Johnson’s such an accomplished escape artist, and his colleagues so craven and cowardly that you can’t rule out him living to fight another day. But for what precisely? 'There’s no there there,’ as the saying goes.”
