Conditional Deposit Scheme

Students applying to any of the programmes or Schools listed below who receive a conditional offer (or unconditional offer where they are already qualified) will be invited to pay a non-refundable deposit in order to secure their place. Your offer communication will provide details about accepting your offer and paying the deposit. The conditional deposit is not required for programmes beginning in January. You can find further information about the conditional deposit scheme in the FAQs.

Applicants who do not pay the deposit by the specified deadline in their offer letter will be declined by default.

* Home and overseas applicants to DClinDent programmes in the Institute of Dentistry (IoD) will be required to a pay a deposit of £5,000, as a condition of their offer.

Subject to places being available on the programme, once the deposit condition and academic conditions of the offer have been met, your place will be confirmed.

Payment of the deposit does not guarantee that your place on the course will be confirmed, if places on the programme become full. Therefore, early payment of the deposit is recommended. The IoD will be in touch with you to confirm the status of your place, once the deposit payment has been received.

Please note that if the IoD is unable to confirm your place on the programme, you will be eligible for a refund in line with the University’s deposit refund policy.

Unconditional Deposit Scheme

The list below provides details of the postgraduate programmes requiring a non-refundable fee deposit for Home applicants holding an unconditional offer. Your offer communication will provide details about accepting your offer and paying the deposit.

Please note all overseas students who require a student route visa must pay a £2000 deposit in order to receive their Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

Applicants will be required to pay their deposit within 6 weeks of their offer.

By accepting an offer of a place or enrolling on a programme, students agree to the terms of the University Fee Regulations. Details of the terms regarding fee deposits can be found in the University Fee Regulations, including special circumstances when a deposit may be refunded.
