Queen Mary is committed to delivering an outstanding, inclusive, world-class education and student experience. To help deliver this, the Academy offers a range of professional development and resources to help you enhance your practice in teaching and learning, whatever your role.

New to teaching

Our professional development programme for PGR educators is specifically designed to support postgraduate research students who teach. Our Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT) is designed for part-time educators and is accredited by Advance HE. Our suite of development workshops is open to all Queen Mary educators.

Probationary lecturers

You will find information on how we support new lecturers to achieve Fellowship from Advance HE on our PGCAP page.

Experienced educators

We can support you to gain recognition for your practice through our Teaching Recognition Programme. Our Educational Leadership Development programmes are designed to develop, empower and support educational leaders in implementing our 2030 Strategy.

Professional Services staff

Our CILT programme and development workshops are open to Professional Services staff who support student learning in labs, workshops, tutorials or academic skills support. Our Teaching Recognition Programme supports Professional Services staff to apply for Advance HE Fellowships.
