Respect, listen to, and value others and their opinions

This Graduate Attribute is about valuing other people, communicating respectfully and being able to listen to diverse opinions. Respect also relates closely to the key employability skill of communication. 

How can you develop and demonstrate this attribute at Queen Mary?

  • Take part in group work activities and discussions
  • Give and receive peer feedback 
  • Interviewing patients and getting feedback from peers on performance 
  • Receiving peers’ feedback on contribution to group coursework
  • Participate in discussion and debates on controversial topics during seminars
  • Working in collaborative projects with academic staff and students and actively listening to everyone’s input
