As part of the QMUL Get Ahead programme, I designed and led orientation sessions for incoming QMUL students (2022-23). The programme was specially designed to help new students to transition into university life and to give them an understanding of life at QMUL and how to excel in their courses. The sessions involved topics such as using library resources, practical tips for academic reading, note-taking, effective management of coursework, extra-curricular activities, support offered on campus, & taking care of one’s health & mental wellbeing. I’m happy that I was able to support new students to shape their academic experience.
