PLTL (Peer-Led Team Learning) was recently introduced to School of Business and Management this September 2022 for the module - Working with Business Data. The aim of the programme was to create a safe and student-friendly environment for second-year students where they are able to communicate the topics, they have found difficult. I was hesitant on applying at first, but then got the courage to email my interest in participating in this scheme as I knew this would be a great challenge for me to overcome as I have never facilitated and took the lead and ownership of delivering an actual workshop/project. However, this was also a great opportunity for me as I was able to enhance and put my presentation, public speaking, leadership, and analytical skills to the test while also being able to form and develop a relationship with my lecturer who was in charge of this module to enhance student engagement in areas that are likely to help everyone when we all start working. Through the PLTL (Peer- led team learning) programmed, I was able to assist students verbalize and articulate the concepts taught in lectures in a new dynamic way while also enabling me to enforce a positive change through enhancing student learning communities and increase student engagement.
