Whilst studying, there may be times that you require evidence that you are a student. Queen Mary will issue you a Student Status Letter upon full enrolment.
Whilst studying, there may be times that you require evidence that you are a student. Therefore, you may wish to obtain a Student Status Letter from the university. Uses for the Student Status Letter include opening a bank account, council tax exemption, proof of studentship, applying for a Schengen Visa, and more!
All fully enrolled undergraduate, postgraduate (taught and research), associate and pre-sessional students will be issued with a digitally signed electronic document via a service supplied by Gradintelligence once they have activated their Gradintelligence account. New students will be registered with Gradintelligence and sent an activation request email to your QMUL email address within 24 hours of your full enrolment. The Student Status Letter is the official letter that the university provides. It has the Queen Mary header and footer and has been digitally signed by the Academic Registrar. It is verified and secure when shared with a third-party through Gradintelligence or it can be downloaded and printed out.
Please note that the Student Enquiry Centre can only stamp and seal these documents for the purpose of letters for Schengen Visa documents or military exemption letters to your national embassy. For more information please contact the Student Enquiry Centre at studentenquiry@qmul.ac.uk.
