Three high-powered analysis workstations available for remote and in-person use, running dedicated image visualisation and analysis software packages. Available software includes the Imaris 3/4D image visualisation and analysis package, Fiji (ImageJ), Matlab, Anaconda and ZEN. The CMR Advanced Bio-imaging Facility can provide image analysis guidance and support to facility users.
Workstation 1 - Dell Precision Tower 7910 with Intel Xeon E5-2667 (3.2 GHz, 8 core) processor, 128 GB RAM and AMD FirePro W7100 (8 GB) graphics card. Runs 64-bit Windows 10 operating system.
Workstation 2 - Dell Precision Tower 5820 with Intel Xeon W-2145 (3.7 GHz, 8 core) processor, 256 GB RAM and Dual NVIDIA Quadro P4000 (8 GB) graphics card. Runs 64-bit Windows 10 operating system.
Workstation 3 - Dell Precision Tower 5820 with Intel Xeon W-2145 (3.7 GHz, 8 core) processor, 256 GB RAM and Radeon Pro WX 7100 (8 GB) graphics card. Runs 64-bit Windows 10 operating system.
Imaris - versions 7.3, 9.2 and 9.5 available. Imaris provides a user-friendly software package for resonstructing and analysing 3D images and movies. Our packages include animation creation, object identification, tracking, colocalisation and volumetric analyses.
ImageJ - Fiji bundle of ImageJ to contain all the most useful plugins for bioimage analysis. This software is open source, but running through a workstation can enable you to work with larger image files and more demanding computations.
Matlab - A programming desktop environment well-suited to image processing.
Anaconda - A python and R distribution for more advanced analysis workflows
ZEN - Software to access metadata and run basic analyses with Zeiss image file types
