The British Psychological Society Prize is an award given out annually by the Department of Psychology on behalf of the British Psychological Society (BPS). This prize is awarded to the final year student who achieved the highest overall mark the BSc Psychology programme. It is given out at all institutions accredited by the BPS. The prize comes with a copy of the BPS’ award winning book for that year, a year's free graduate membership in the BPS, and a £100 award.
The Carthy Prize is an award given out annually by the Department of Psychology. This prize is named in honour of John Dennis Carthy, who was an animal behaviourist with interests in psychology and a prominent science communicator. He was an academic at Queen Mary University of London from 1950 until he passed away in 1972. This prize is awarded to the final year student who received the second highest mark in the BSc Psychology programme. The prize comes with a £100 award.
College Prizes are two awards which are given out annually to BSc Psychology students on the recommendation of the Department of Psychology. The prize is awarded to students who show outstanding academic achievement. The prize comes with a £100 award.
