An investigation into milk and meat from cloned cattle shows that the products are no different to those from conventionally bred animals. The team of scientists from the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes also found that cloned products posed no more of a risk. SBCS's Dr Curran said these findings were in line with previous investigations that took place in the US. He said: “They have continued to review the evidence, and to date there has been no suggestion that these products should be excluded from the human food chain.” Dr Curran’s comments appeared widely in the media over the weekend including: Daily Mail, ABC News, Daily Record, and Yahoo News. Dr Curran was also interviewed on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC News Channel and on BBC World Service’s Europe Today.
