SBCS staff joined the 1000s of scientists last weekend who were demonstrating on the “Science is Vital” march about the proposed cuts to science funding in the UK. Writing about the campaign on the Chemistry World blog, SBCS’s Giorgio De Faveri said“The scientific community needed to take its head out of the sand and stand up to make its reasons heard; and I believe the demonstration was a success. I was delighted to see so many researchers leaving their comfort zone, their labs, to demonstrate against unfair and unreasonable spending cuts which would put research in the UK in danger.”
