E. Fogg and the Joseph Priestley (JP) building for any issues raised by the Teaching Technicians. Contributing to developing high-quality undergraduate biology/biomedical sciences programs by providing expert technical advice to academic staff. Assist the Teaching Technician Manager in providing technical support to academics regarding practical development. Assist the Teaching Technician Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the Biology Teaching Laboratories, leading on assigned laboratories/activities. Supervising the technical/demonstrating team within the Biology Teaching Laboratories during practical classes. Overseeing and, where required, assisting the Biology Teaching Technicians/Teaching assistants in the preparation, setting up and day-to-day running of practical classes in the fields of biological and biomedical sciences. Assisting the Teaching Technician Manager in maintaining a positive safety culture in the Biology Teaching laboratories and making sure all Health and Safety documentation is in place and up to date.
