Summary: Anthropogenic habitat change represents a defining challenge of our time, reshaping ecosystems and landscapes across the globe at an unprecedented pace. As human activities continue to alter natural environments, it is imperative to understand the far-reaching consequences of these alterations on the global species interaction networks that underpin ecological stability and biodiversity. This research will conduct a comprehensive examination of the impacts of anthropogenic habitat change on the structure of species interaction networks on a global scale. By using the world’s largest ecological interactions database, LifeWebs, we will be able to access records of different types of networks all over the world. We aim to provide a global perspective on how human-driven alterations to habitat influence the interactions between species, and draw implications for species and biodiversity conservation strategies.
