Relevant evidence has been found across taxa yet not in the bees, one of the most hard-working animals in our mind. Would bees prefer the options that require more effort? Which type of effort would the bumblebees prefer to exert, physical or cognitive? My project is to answer some of the basic questions of effort-based decision making in bumblebees.
