About this event
Leaders of organisations today are faced with significant challenges in planning for future scenarios in a world of increasing complexity and turbulence. These challenges may be described as existential to the extent that the very survival of the human species would now seem dependent on the solutions that can be found to the urgent problems of organisation with which we are collectively faced. These include climate change and sustainability; resource conflict and migration; inequality and authoritarian politics; and automation and machine learning, among others.
This special event marks the launch of the Organisation Studies Research Group at the School of Business and Management, Queen Mary, University of London, which will provide a vital hub for those concerned with the past, present and futures of organisational life.
An expert panel will take up these organisational challenges through a themed discussion in the following areas: Leadership & Strategy, Governance & Ethics, and Technology and Learning.
Location: Queen Mary University of London, Mile End Road, London, E1 4NS, Graduate Centre, Peston Lecture Theatre (Graduate Centre).
The closest entrance to the building is from Bancroft Road.
This is an in-person event, but it will also be available to stream online for those unable to join us in person. A link will be sent on the day to those, who indicate that they would like to attend online.
