SBM Postgraduate students awarded for outstanding academic achievement

The School of Business and management would like to congratulate our Postgraduate students (2015-16) who have been awarded for their outstanding academic achievement.

Sarah Abdul Jabbar Sheikh, International Business MSc, has been awarded the Draper’s Company Prize.

Vivienne Stephanie Reddick, Management MSc, had been awarded the Principal’s Prize.

Igor Gavran, International Business MSc, has been awarded the Alvaro Angeriz Prize.

The Alvaro Angeriz Prize is in memory of a former colleague at the School of Business and Management who passed away in 2011 after battling a long term illness. Dr Angeriz was a lecturer in Economics and Research Fellow at the Centre of Economic and Public Policy at Wolfson College in Cambridge. His research was in the field of applied economic policy analysis and covered a broad range of issues on spatial economics, housing policy, poverty, environmental economics and monetary policy.

Philip Vaupel, Management and Organisational Innovation MSc, has been awarded the Roland Miller Innovation Award.

The Roland Miller Innovation award is in memory of a former colleague at the School of Business and Management who passed away in 2013 after battling a short term illness. Roland was a key player in the development of the QUBE Media Suite and QM Entrepreneurs (QME) Society. He continuously sought new and innovative ways to enhance the student experience through entrepreneurial action and enabled progress within the School with the introduction of sophisticated IT solutions.

The awards will be announced at the Graduation ceremony due to take place in December 2016.
