She earned her PhD in Shipping and Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) and completed her MSc in Operational Research at the London School of Economics (LSE). Previously, Maria served as a Lecturer in Applied Econometrics at the University of Bath and held an LSE Fellowship at the London School of Economics. She has contributed as a teaching assistant at University College London (UCL), Bayes Business School, London Business School (LBS), and ESCP Europe.TeachingFellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) ResearchResearch Interests:Maria's primary research interests are around risk management, applied econometrics, behavioural finance, and operations management, particularly focusing on different aspects of the shipping industry, especially within the context of dry bulk freight markets.
