Profile

The Digital Learning Adviser leads the SBM Digital Learning Team. The role holder is responsible for the development and maintenance of core learning and support systems, essential to the successful delivery and continuous improvement of teaching within the School.

The Digital Learning Adviser (Steve) and the Digital Learning Officer (Bashir) make up the Digital Learning Team and can be contacted on sbm-digital-learning@qmul.ac.uk. 

The Digital Learning Team helps academics and support staff to develop online materials using the virtual learning environment (QMplus). They evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of different types of online content, and investigate emerging technologies to continuously develop and improve digital learning practices.  They are the main admin contact for QMplus.

Steve has been working in Learning Technologies since 1998 and has been working within the HE environment for almost 40 years. He has publlished most recently in the field of Learning Technologies as well as his PhD discipline).

Within SBM he advises staff on the development of their QMplus module pages and communicates and disseminates e-learning information to staff and students. He oversees the School's provision of software to enhance student learning.
