To all self-identifying women and non-binary people, a very warm invitation to join us at the Women's Café!
The Women’s Café is a mobile café that holds events every month which cover a broad range of subjects and themes surrounding the lives of racialised women, non-binary, and gender variant people. We want to transform campus events by hosting a relaxed and alcohol-free cafe that centre QMUL students, staff, and alumni who identify as a woman of colour or a Global South woman.
The Women’s Café focuses on community building, self-care, and improving the career prospects of racialised women in the workplace and academia. The Café seeks to build a space of belonging for women who have felt a disconnection from the wider world due to their identity and resulting experiences.
All our sessions take place in St Benet’s Chaplaincy yurt from 5-7 pm. We provide a range of hot and cold snacks, cakes, and hot drinks – all free of charge and in beautiful surroundings! Join us for a warm and uplifting evening.
