Application Guidance

Candidates should apply for their chosen (eligible) Master's programme at Queen Mary through our online portal in the normal way, indicating that they are applying for the scholarship. Candidates should hold a Queen Mary offer by the 30th April deadline. Please ensure sufficient time to apply and receive your offer: https://www.qmul.ac.uk/postgraduate/taught/after-you-apply/.  Offers may be conditional but candidates will need to meet all academic conditions prior to enrolment.

To be considered for the scholarship you must also complete and upload the following QMUL- Mandatory Application Form [DOC 26KB] to your application portal before the deadline. Applicants who have not submitted this form will not be considered for the scholarship.

Please note this form will need to be uploaded after you submit your application. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an acknowledgement email with your applicant ID and login details for the applicant portal. You can use the applicant portal to track the status of your application and upload additional documents including the application form.

The British Council will make the final decision on selected scholars. If you are awarded a scholarship, you agree to maintain contact with the British Council and act as an ambassador for the UK and engage with activities as part of a British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM alumnus during and after your study in the UK.

Results are expected to be announced in mid-June. The British Council's full terms and conditions of the Women in STEM scholarships will be shared with the shortlisted candidates.
