Isabel Stuart

My PhD research lies at the intersection of feminist performance, affect and emotions theory, and audience research. My research broadly argues that feelings matter in feminist performance and can be powerful tools for moving audiences to imagine a more feminist future both inside and outside the theatre. During my PhD, I am conducting qualitative research with the audiences of feminist performance across various sites in London and online.

I first came to QMUL in 2015 when I started my BA in Drama, I started my PhD here in 2019.
