John Curtice is Professor of Politics at Strathclyde University and Senior Research Fellow at NatCen Social Research. He has been co-editor of NatCen's British Social Attitudes series since 1995 and was co-director of the British Election Study between 1983 and 1997. A regular media commentator on British politics, he is head of the team responsible for the analysis of the BBC/ITV/Sky joint general election exit poll. He is also President of the British Polling Council, an organisation that upholds standards of transparency in the polling industry.
