Every year the National Students Survey asks students across all Universities to reflect on various aspects of their learning experience such as teaching, academic support, personal development and organisation and management. The just released 2017 results show that economics and finance students at QM highly rate their own experience: 88% of economics and 92% of finance students expressed satisfaction with their studies and both Economics and Finance are ranked #1 in London and top four among Russell Group universities. Over the years students have consistently expressed their appreciation for the quality of their learning experience and this year’s results confirm the School of Economics and Finance as one of the top institutions in the country. In commenting this year’s results, Dr Radoslawa Nikolowa, the UG Programme co-director, pointed out that “for many years the School has worked jointly with students towards fostering a friendly and welcoming environment that helps them developing their full potential. We are proud of our students’ achievements and we are committed to continuously improve our own practices”.
Professor Sujoy Mukherji, Head of the School of Economics and Finance said, “ We are very pleased with the NSS results and to see that our students enjoyed their studies with us. The School of Economics and Finance aims to be a close-knit community with approachable, supportive and friendly staff. We will build on these results to further strengthen our relationship with students and to further support their learning and career aspirations.
