Robert Carver is an independent quantitative futures trader, writer and research consultant. Robert has been a visiting lecturer at Queen Mary since 2018, teaching ECOM123 Systematic Trading Strategies, and is currently retained as a research advisor to Stylus Digital, a cryptocurrency hedge fund.
He is the author of four books: 'Systematic Trading', 'Smart Portfolios' , 'Leveraged Trading' and 'Advanced Futures Trading Strategies'. Robert's last corporate role was as a portfolio manager at AHL, a quantitative hedge fund. He was responsible for the inception of AHL's fundamental strategies group and subsequently led the team managing the fund's multi billion dollar fixed income portfolio.
Before AHL he worked for CEPR, an economics think tank, as a research manager; and as an exotic derivatives trader for Barclays investment bank. Robert has a BA from the University of Manchester and an Msc from Birkbeck College, University of London, both in Economics.
