Salah Essa (MA 2021) has recently been awarded a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship to pursue PhD research at the University of Bern in 2025. Salah graduated from QM's MA programme in 2021 where he was a student funded by the prestigious Chevening Scholarship. These scholarships have been instrumental in financially supporting Salah's studies and scholarship on the linguistic variation in Iraq, his native country, as well as the preservation of Iraqi cultural and linguistics heritage.
