A series of talks by Maya Slater and Nicolas Pasternak Slater to introduce a new translation of 'Doctor Zhivago'

Senior Research Fellow Maya Slater will be giving several talks this winter with husband Nicolas Pasternak Slater. His new translation of Doctor Zhivago will be published by the Folio Society on November 4th, initially in a Limited Edition, with the Standard Edition following next year. 

Nicolas Pasternak Slater will be talking about the translation and the Pasternak family, and, as Editor and Picture Editor, Dr Maya Slater will be presenting selected illustrations. The book is illustrated with 68 pictures by the Russian Impressionist painter Leonid Pasternak, Boris Pasternak’s father and Nicolas Pasternak Slater’s grandfather.
