Professor Shirley Jordan has been invited to become Co-Director of the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Women's Writing (CCWW) at the Institute of Modern Languages Research, from September 2016. The Centre promotes and facilitates national and international research on contemporary writing by women in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, and its activities and events focus predominantly on a rich and fascinating corpus of post-1968 authors and texts. Professor Jordan is looking forward to working in this comparative perspective and helping to foster cross-cultural collaboration as well as maintaining the thriving French dimension of the CCWW. A number of symposia, seminars, author readings and other events are already planned for 2016-17 and beyond. Click here for more information about the CCWW and its activities.
