Profile
MA in Translation (University of Exeter) M.Phil in French and Occitan Studies (University of Bristol) My doctoral thesis will examine translation as a practice and mechanism for the reception of Catalan culture in Britain, Ireland and North America during the nineteenth century. This project is being funded by the Balearic Islands Doctoral Studentship in Catalan Studies (2020-2023) in partnership with the Institut Ramon Llull.

Research Interests:
19-century Catalan literature, medieval Catalan literature, Occitan literature (medieval and modern), translation history, translation theory and practice, visual culture, travel writing, romance philology, sociolinguistics, French literature, Dante Studies, music, dialogism, history of costume and 1960s subcultures.
