Strings with longitudinal kink modes have been studied since the early days of string theory. A recent generalization is known as segmented strings. These string solutions are piecewise linear, and they can approximate any smooth string solution. The primary objective of this project is to investigate the quantization of these objects on anti-de Sitter (AdS) and de Sitter (dS) backgrounds, and establish connections with recently discovered quantum spectral curve methods, which are essential tools in the theory of integrability. The results may provide insights into string theory and various versions of the celebrated AdS/CFT correspondence.
