We would love for all sixth-form students interested in physics and astronomy to attend.
As part of this event, we will have mini-talks from Queen Mary academics covering every area of physics and astronomy: from the big to the small and everything in between!
We will hear from Dr Congkao Wen about the mysteries of string theory, from Dr Ulla Blumenschein about the wonders of Particle Physics experiments, from Dr Theo Kreouzis about the amazing world of condensed matter, and from Dr Scott Melville and Professor Richard Nelson about investigations into the Universe itself.
There will also be lab and observatory tours that give a flavour of what it is like to be a physics and astronomy student at this leading Russell Group university.Students will also have plenty of time to ask questions and also to mingle with academics over snacks and drinks. Interested students should sign up Here. Students should select "Physics and astronomy" as subject of interest. We very much hope you will attend!
