Jones BuildingProfileResearchPublicationsProfileDr Chaitanya Sishtla is a PDRA in the Astronomy Unit of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Queen Mary University of London. He gained his PhD in Space Physics at the University of Helsinki, Finland in 2024. He is now working in the team of Dr Christopher Chen on modelling solar wind turbulence.ResearchResearch Interests:My research pertains to magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) modelling of the solar corona and wind. I am interested in modelling the formation of solar turbulence and studying its effect on solar wind acceleration. Previously, I have modelled the propagation of waves in the solar corona and studied their interactions with coronal mass ejections (CMEs). I studied the formation of instabilities as a response to the waves interacting with the background wind. Presently, I am also interested in Machine Learning approaches towards modelling plasma processes and their potential in model discovery.PublicationsA list of publications can be found on Google Scholar.
