Room Number: G. O. Jones Building, Room 404

Profile

Rob joined the Particle Physics Research Centre in 2023, following the completion of his PhD at the University of Sheffield earlier that year. He is currently focused on the Inner Tracker (ITk) for the ATLAS upgrade at the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). During his PhD, he made notable contributions to the CYGNUS directional dark matter experiment, particularly in pioneering techniques for the removal of radon contamination. His expertise in radon has led to industrial collaboration with DURRIDGE UK.

In 2022, Rob was named one of the top six PhD Students of the Year in the UK for his academic excellence and outreach to the wider community. He has also actively collaborated with the British Council and Pinoy Scientist platforms to address underrepresentation in academia and continues to do so.
