Project Title: Synthesis of Sequence-Defined Pi-Conjugated Materials for Organic Electronics
Supervisor: Dr Christian Nielsen
Content: This project will include the following activities:
1) Optimisation of consecutive Stille and Heck cross-coupling reactions to form sequence-defined conjugated materials with unique absorption characteristics for eventual use in organic electronic materials
2) Development of ‘one-pot’ reaction synthesis and purification whereby purification is directly achieved via diafiltration to remove unwanted material and alleviate the need for tedious and time-consuming work-up procedures
