Queen Mary University of London, hosts one of the largest bioengineering groups in the UK with a long standing track record of world-leading, high impact research and including expertise in AI, computational modelling and medtech. In the latest UK Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), engineering, of which bioengineering is a major part, was ranked 2nd in the UK for the quality of our research output. The centre's excellence is further demonstrated by its recent receipt of significant funding, including a £7 million Centre for Doctoral Training and several large grants and fellowships from UKRI.
