Christmas on campus Group

The Students’ Union have set-up a Facebook group and mailing list for students staying on campus halls or in London over Christmas.

The aim is to help people meet others who are staying so they can make plans together over the festive period. Christmas information and activity ideas in the local area and wider London area will also be shared.

Events and activities

The Students’ Union runs a programme of regular activities and events. This is complemented by events from student-led Clubs and Societies.

Students’ Union spaces – Opening Hours

The Students’ Union will operate amended opening hours across its spaces during the Christmas break – see below for further details.

Societies, Volunteering, Student Voice, Sustainability, Sport, Academic Advice Service

Our Students’ Union teams will be contactable until Thursday 19 December via the normal contact channels detailed at www.qmsu.org. The Students’ Union will then be fully closed from Saturday 21 December until Wednesday 01 January. Our teams will be back to support you from Thursday 02 January 2025.

  • Normal opening hours until Friday 13 December, 11pm
  • Closed from Saturday 14 December until Sunday 19 January
  • Re-opening Monday 20 January, Midday
  • Get Active timetabled sessions will end on Sunday 8 December and re-start from Monday 20 January. Special one-off events will take place as part of our Study Well campaign throughout January.
  • The last Social Leagues match will take place on Friday 13 December, with leagues resuming from Monday 27 January.

  • Reduced hours from Monday 16 December to Friday 20 December: 9am to 4pm

  • Closed from Saturday 24 December until Wednesday 01 January
  • Normal opening hours resume from Thursday 02 January (7am to 10pm weekdays / 10am to 6pm weekends)
  • Normal opening hours until Sunday 15 December
  • Reduced hours Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 December: 9am to 5pm
  • Closed from Wednesday 18 December until Thursday 02 January
  • Re-open Friday 03 January: 9am to 5pm
  • Weekdays Monday 06 January to Friday 17 January: 9am to 5pm
  • Normal opening hours resume from Monday 20 January, weekdays 9am to 9pm

*In addition to the above The Nest will be closed until Monday 20 January due to exams taking place in this space.
