Drugs & Alcohol

Being a student might mean that some of you will experience smoking, drugs and alcohol regularly or with excess.

There can be a downside and for some people, this use can become problematic and lead to unwanted consequences in their lives and studies.

The NHS  and the  Advice and Counselling Service offer useful advice and information.

  • Check if you are drinking too much and if your drinking is putting your health at risk. To get help visit Alcohol Change UK.
  • If you wish to stop smoking, please contact the Student Health Service or visit QUIT.
  • To find out about drugs or get advice, talk to Frank.

RESET will be running free, confidential drop-in clinics every month, where they will provide support and information to students who are using any substance, including alcohol, opiates, stimulants, cannabis and new psychoactive drugs. They provide a variety of different services to support individual needs.
