All new Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Foundation students joining Queen Mary are guaranteed accommodation in University halls of residence or with one of our partner providers, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

Our sites in Mile End, Whitechapel, Charterhouse Square and West Smithfield offer almost 3,000 student bedrooms.
Our halls of residence offer a range of affordable options, either on campus or a short distance away. Residential fees start from around £170 per week for a non-ensuite room.
We guarantee accommodation to all new undergraduate and foundation students, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria on our accommodation webpages.

All of our campus accommodation is in self-catered flats, just a few minutes’ walk from everything you need to get the best out of your degree and your Queen Mary experience.
You’ll feel at home as part of our friendly community of staff and students. A peaceful oasis in a busy city. Our self-contained Mile End campus is our largest, and offers everything you need to live, study and relax.
Our lecture theatres, laboratories and study spaces – including our extensive 24-hour library – will all be on your doorstep. You’ll also have access to the two shops, four cafés, two restaurants, bar, gym, and bookshop on site.
Our halls of residence have a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by greenery and attractive outdoor spaces. At times, it’s easy to forget that you’re living in the heart of a bustling capital city.
Campus accommodation is fun, safe and convenient – an affordable way to enjoy London life. It’s also a great way to meet new people and create your own community of friends.
Our accommodation offering includes rooms in shared flats or studios, all of which are self-catering, and located a short walk or bike ride away from our campuses.
Both family accommodation and rooms designed for people with disabilities are available.
We also provide our incoming students with support in seeking alternative accommodation or rooms in privately owned halls of residence.
Residential fees include all energy and water costs, the cleaning of communal areas within the residences (including kitchens and shared bathrooms), Wi-Fi, and personal possessions insurance.
We know how important it is to find the right place to live, and our accommodation team are ready to help support and guide you.
Our dedicated postgraduate accommodation is located at Aspire Point in Stratford. Just one tube stop, a short bicycle ride or a 15-minute bus journey away from Queen Mary’s Mile End campus, Aspire Point provides affordable living and study space with glorious views over London and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
With studios, en suite rooms and rooms with shared bathrooms, there are rooms suited to every need and budget.
Postgraduate accommodation is also available at Blithehale Court and Sherren House, located in Bethnal Green and Stepney Green, a short walk from the Mile End campus and close to tube stops.
We also offer accommodation for our Medicine and Dentistry students at our Whitechapel and Charterhouse campuses. This means you can live with people on a similar course, close to our clinical facilities.
Once you have received an offer for your programme you will be able to apply for accommodation via your applicant portal.
To ensure as smooth a transition as possible into postgraduate life, Queen Mary guarantees a place in halls for all applicants who apply by 30 June during their year of entry.
We aim to make sure that you feel safe and secure during your time at Queen Mary. A 24-hour reception is available to answer questions and for reporting cleaning and maintenance issues, our residential support team is always at hand to help with any issues and to help keep you safe and secure, we have security officers on campus 24 hours a day and CCTV cameras covering public areas of our campus.
